Memory & Hope (Mar 23rd)

Strength In Weakness (Mar 21st-22nd)

Should we feel at times disheartened and discouraged, a simple movement of heart toward God will renew our powers. Whatever He may demand of us, He will give us at the moment the strength and courage that we need.
~Francois Fenelon

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why for Christ's sake I delight in weaknesses, in insults in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
~2 Corinthians 12:8-10

Walks With Us (Mar 17th)

"big" and "little" (Mar 8th & 9th)

Poor Reflection (Mar 6th)

Hey everyone my bad I've skipped a few days! Sorry.
------------

This life is not all. It is an "unfinished symphony"....with him who knows that he is related to God and has felt "the power of an endless life".
~Henry Ward Beecher~

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
~1 Corinthians 13:12 (NIV)

Brit's 'put

Allot of people including myself have had to read this verse a few times over to understand it; it can be kind of confusing. It's kind of cool though because today in school (language arts) after reading "Our Town" by Thornton Wilder, I read this verse. I'll try and dissect if for you and let you know what I think....

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror: right now we see but a poor reflection of what life is and how important it is – and also what a poor reflection this earth is compared to heaven.

Then we shall see face to face: when we see the Lord face to face (when we die)

Now I know in part, then I shall know fully: Now I only know part of it, but when I am with Him (dead) I shall know fully; I'll see the whole picture and understand how important the small things were

Even as I am fully known: even as God knows me fully and life fully

Right now we can't see clearly how important life really is; only after we've lost it will truly be able to see. But then we will be in a place so much better than here. So know that also this world is such a poor, poor reflection of what is to come.

Hopefully I explained that in a way that you can understand what I think...

Beyond My Scope (Mar 3rd)

For I am bound with fleshly bands,
Joy, beauty, lie beyond my scope;
I strain my heart, I stretch my hands,
And catch at hope.
~Christina Rossetti~

Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.

Faith, Hope, & Love (Mar 2nd)

Faith goes up the stairs that love has made and looks out of the windows which hope has opened.
